Stressed Without Solutions? This Ancient Herb Could Help.

Ashwagandha, also known as Withania somnifera, is often referred in popular literature as Indian ginseng,” but its medicinal properties go much farther than ginseng’s. As one of the most revered herbs in the traditional Ayurvedic system of medicine in India, it has been known and cultivated for 6000 years and used for millennia for a variety of conditions. 

It is also known in India as Rasayana, a substance “that promotes a youthful state of physical and mental health and expands happiness,” and as such is considered a rejuvenator, revitalizer, vitalizer and/or tonic. 

But modern medicine is all about verification. Ashwagandha has only recently been studied in well-controlled research to validate its effects – and the outcomes of those studies have only backed up ancient wisdom on the subject.

Accurate supplementations of Ashwagandha are also shown to reduce the stress hormone cortisol by 15%.

In other words, helping to normalize such levels and activity in the brain, which in turn helps to normalize energy levels as well.
